The 24 Minute Comic!!!: There will be a 24 minute comic event run by Ade Brown on the day. The event will start at 12.00 noon in the Portfolio Workshop. Ade is taking names now for the 24 individuals or teams to take part now. Each team will have 24 minutes to draw a page based on certain keywords. At the end of the 24 minutes the pages are collected, collated & printed and will be on sale by 4pm. Check out the attractions page for more details!!!! Or e-mail Ade now!!!

Ade says that each page should show the protagonist walking onto the page in the first panel and leaving on the last panel. Each team will be asked to complete 4 keywords which are put into a hat. The keywords are then drawn and distributed randomly amonst the teams who then have to integrate the terms into their comic page.

The final effort will be on sale by 4pm and will also appear as a pull out in Just One Page 3, the charity comic. The final comic will also feature the names and contact details of the creators, their web sites etc. Get on board!!!!

2005 Anthology Thing: The anthology this year will be organised by the industrious Mardou. The anthology is open to all exhibitors. To register you interest for the anthology, please e-mail Sacha here.
2005 Gallery Thing: The Gallery Thing this year is being organised by Lei. The gallery is a dedicated area where creators can show their art off in a gallery environment, ie mounted on a display wall with the option to sell it. There is plenty of time to start thinking about submitting material for the gallery, so start thinking now. If you want more information then e-mail her on gallery@ukwebcomixthing.co.uk.

Portfolio Workshop: The Portfolio Workshop is aimed at providing creators with a chance to have their portfolio looked at by industry veterans, as well as providing an area for people to meet up with other creators and try out their drawing skills and share their work. The Portfolio Workshop will be equipped with pens, pencils, inks, brushes, paper, crayons and all sorts. So bring your portfolio and see what people have to say about your work!!! Industry veterans confirmed so far include Ed Traquino.

Panel Discussion: There will be two panel discussions, one at 1.00pm and the other at 2.30pm. The first panel will be discussing traditional & contemporary routes to getting comics published and breaking in the industry. Web & Mini Comix Reading Room: Well its more like a few tables and such, but there'll be a bunch of mini comix made available on the day for people to read, plus two computers connected to the internet.


Exhibitors: The bulk of the event is based around the guys and girls that consent to provide you with a smidgen of entertainment, the exhibitors. Last year there were over 40 tables and 80 exhibitors, and this year were hoping for more. You can find out who has been confirmed here.

Jam: The jam will be continued from last year. You can read lasts years valiant efforts here. So you've got a long time to figure out how to carry on from there!!!!

Count The Pages: The Count The Pages Compteition involves visitors guessing at how many pages there are in a pile of comics which are sealed within a fish tank. The person that wins gets a box full of comix donated by the each of the exhibitors!!! Its great fun and its free for each visitor!!!! Simply collect your raffle ticket upon arrival and and write your guess on the oback of kone of them and place it in the special box provided. Then at 4pm the winner will be announced.
